Walt Luchinger has been a member of Salem since 1999. He has served as Leader of Men’s Ministries, on the Worship Team and Board of Worship Arts, as a Deacon, Usher/Greeter, and Communion Assistant, and previously as MLC Vice President and on the Mission Board.

​“I believe our highest priorities are: training and nurturing one another in God’s Word while thoughtfully reaching out to our neighbors with the love of Christ; being a family of peace in Christ where people experience belonging, purpose, and transformation in an environment of grace through active participation in worship, learning, and service; involving everyone in a Christian life journey marked by meaningful growth and vocational calling; and bringing Christ to the community and the community to Christ.”

​He believes the MLC should be a board that serves the needs of the congregation, the church staff, the various ministries, and the school and that the Council should empower and support but also work hard to help channel God’s vision for Salem.
