What is SSM?
A place To BelonG
Life may change, but we're not going anywhere.
Teens and young adults are truly amazing; yet, they face some of the toughest transitional struggles of any phase in life. The teenage years represent the place where the road splits - that time in life when we have major choices to make. Our adolescents are crossing over from being children to being adults, and suddenly they have the freedom to choose their path for themselves. What choices will they make? As life changes, we're here to help.
KNOW - Salem Student Ministry is a place where young people can not only meet Jesus but also learn what it means to be in a personal relationship with Him. We hope to help kids understand just how much Jesus wants a relationship with them.
GROW - Our teens and young adults learn how to make God-pleasing choices as they get ready to venture out on their own and find His path for their lives. How? By focusing on faith application, discussing real-life issues, and teaching them how to live a righteous life in the midst of a sinful society - to be in the world, not of it.
SHOW - Our leaders function as role models to our students, helping them to see Christ-like lives in action. Plus, we create a place where youth can share with others the love they learn about here.
GO - We're building up the church, right here at Salem. Not only do we strive to cultivate strong and present church members, we also want to give our teens opportunities to bring the church to the world.
1 Timothy 4:12
"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example
for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity."
Meet Our TEam
Youth ministry is a passion which I
believe is best lived out as a calling
centered on grace.
Our lives are messy. We are messy. Messes aren't pretty, but there is always good to be found in the ashes. Why? Because God loves us in the midst of our mess, and He is the bringer of our spotless beauty. Christ's sacrifice not only covers our sin and cleans up our mess, but it also makes us daily recipients of His pure, unending, ever-present grace...and we all need it. The more we learn about this gift, the more we understand just how much we need it - to receive His grace and give it to others. (Ephesians 4:7 & 32)
And so, that's my philosophy of ministry: Get grace. Give grace.

A NICU nurse and avid Ducks fan, Kaley loves pointing others toward a lasting relationship with Jesus that will carry them through life’s challenges.
Stephen became active in the church in High School during a difficult season in life and hopes to support our youth through this season of highs and lows.
College & Young Adult
"I want the kids to have an even greater experience here at Salem, and to grow closer to God than I did when I was a part of the youth group."
