Number of years at Salem: My first year!

What I love most about Salem:

I love the palpable feeling you get knowing that God is moving throughout Salem’s campus. I have truly felt it ever since the first day I walked on campus. 

 

My favorite quote:

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.” From Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I love it because it is so true. It is so easy to get caught up in the day that you forget to appreciate everything we have been blessed with. 

 

One of my favorite verses in scripture is:

2 Corinthians 12:9

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

...Because:

through this declaration, I am able to surrender my own plans and trust in our Lord’s power, knowing that in weakness, He can make things perfect. 

 

Some of my favorite hobbies include:

Playing cards with my family and friends, going to the beach, cooking, pottery, and walking with my sweet dog, Toby. 

 

My favorite school memory as a student is:

All the field trips we had. My all-time favorite was learning how to churn butter at the Kellogg House!
