About Our Speaker

Cindy LaFavre Yorks is an award-winning journalist whose articles have appeared in The Los Angeles Times, The New York Daily News, Chicago Tribune, Houston Chronicle, and People Magazine, among many other national publications.

After decades of covering fashion and the red carpet circuit, she traded in her stilettos for sandals and entered her own side door of special needs parenting. Her first book, The Side Door: Welcoming God's Divine Detours, was recently published, the first in a trilogy of devotionals, with her second book soon on the way.

Journey along with Cindy at our Boutique luncheon as she unpacks Mary's "side door" sojourn through an unimaginable portal she never saw coming. You'll see a fresh perspective on what it means to fully trust God despite any and all circumstances. You'll find solid application about how to incorporate similar strategies as you journey through your own side door with courage and confidence.
