What I love most about Salem:

Being able to teach and bring the love of Jesus into the lives of the children and their families that God blesses me with each year. At Salem, my heart is filled with joy that I can share the message of God's unconditional love and His forgiveness with children.

 

My favorite movie quote:

I love happy endings, so my favorite movie quote is, 'They lived happily ever after."

 

One of my favorite verses in scripture is:

Psalm 46:10

He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Because:

I know that due to my sinful nature and Satan, I will face many trials in life, but this verse reminds me that God is in control of all things, not me. To "be still" is to stop, surrender, be calm, and "know" or acknowledge that He is God and in control. I feel great assurance in knowing that He is God, He loves and cares for me, protects me, and will always be with me.

 

Some of my favorite hobbies include:

Baking, yoga, going to my boys' soccer games  :) 

 

My favorite school memory as a student is:

In 8th grade, I was awarded a scholarship from my principal and teacher to Christ College, Irvine (now Concordia University). I was told that I was given the award because they could see that I would make a great teacher someday. I'm thankful that my teacher saw that in me and planted that seed in my heart. I couldn't imagine doing anything else in my life!
