Why the Changes Will Be Positive for Orange Park Acres
The Salem Lutheran campus is located at the northern gateway to the rural equestrian community of Orange Park Acres. Salem Lutheran is not a new or aspiring neighbor to this unique community. The campus has co-existed with this residential area for almost 40 years and remains extremely sensitive to the desire of residents to preserve the rural atmosphere. Salem Lutheran also has generously shared its property with the OPA community. The campus is a registered polling place and is used by various community groups for meetings and small events. During the Sierra fire, the church offered its property as a staging area for fire trucks and sleeping quarters for fire fighters.
